5 Minute Everyday Makeup

Today, I’m going to share my super quick, super easy, go-to 5-minute makeup look! This is a little bit different than what I usually post, but I want to branch out on my blog and share other aspects of my life that I love and enjoy, like makeup!

I’m the kinda person who will usually always chose a few more minutes of sleep (or meditation) over a few more minutes to do my makeup. So, it’s essential that I have a quick routine down pat.

Step 1: ALWAYS wash my face with my Sonic Skincare Solution Facial Brush and Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Face Cleanser. Followed with Nivea Soft Refreshingly Soft cream. I know you’re supposed to let your moisturizer ‘sit’ or soak in for around 15 minutes before applying makeup, but honestly my skin is so dry in the winter that it soaks in pretty quick anyways.

Step 2: Conceal, duh! I used to feel a pressure to always go full faced if I was going to wear makeup. Until I discovered Garnier’s Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller (shade medium). This is seriously awesome! It covers my dark circles pretty well for a lighter coverage concealer. I put it under my eyes, the sides of my nose and down the middle, my chin, and forehead then blend it out with a damp beauty blender.

Step 3: Powder. I use a really cheap NYC translucent powder to set my makeup, paired with the yellow powder from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour pallet on an ELF small tapered brush.  I then use an angled blush brush with MAC’s Mocha (matte blush) and of course we CANNOT forget the highlight. And, of course I use Jaclyn Hill X Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop. It’s perfect for the holidays as well since its gold and shimmery. Yes hunny. I usually use a fluffy brush to blend.

Step 4: I have been super into a more natural brow look lately. Mostly, because I cannot be bothered to take the time to draw in all my eyebrow hairs since it can be pretty time consuming for us light browed people. Because I do have such light eyebrow hair, I like to fill them in with a brow gel which gives me some shape and color. I have been really liking Elizabeth Mott’s Queen of The Fill tinted brow gel in the shade light-medium. I also really like the Maybelline’s tinted brow gel in the shade soft brown.

Step 5: Mascara is something I don’t always do as the universe has #blessed me with naturally long and dark lashes. I do love the added depth of mascara, especially if you’re going to be taking photos, definitely adds to the look. I used to be obsessed with Maybelline mascaras, until I discovered L’oreal. WOW. I love the Telescopic for lengthening and darkening and the Voluminous Lash Paradise because it adds so much volume and thicccness to my lashes. It is kind of hard to take off, but overall, I really like it!

Step 6: I always wear lip balm in the winter because my lips get so dry! It’s painful almost, if you have any tips or product recommendations for super hydrating lip products please comment below! I am currently using a shea butter lip balm from The Body Shop, which is pretty good.

And that’s it! Super simple, usually takes me around 5 minutes and it’s a nice everyday ‘no makeup-makeup’ look. It’s pretty basic but I feel more put together when I have some makeup on. Anyways, thought I would share this for fun and something a little bit different than what I have been posting lately! I hope you enjoy, share this with a friend who needs a 5 minute makeup routine in their lives or comment below your FAVE hydrating lip balm!
